Fred and Susan O’Mahony

Fred has worked with the medium of wood for many years, woodturning for the last 25 and through the defining years has produced innovative products and gifts, bespoke commissioned pieces which include homeware, table top and gift items.

 These pieces are hand crafted from Irish Native Hardwoods, each piece selected for its individual character and finished to bring out the natural beauty and character of the wood.

Originally from Waterford, Fred’s studio and workshop overlooks the river Suir where he works and produces his products, and where he is inspired by the peaceful and beautiful countryside.

Fred has featured on RTE Nationwide and has participated in many prestigious Craft events such as the Lewis Glucksmann Gallery UCC, The RDS Dublin and many more.   Fred is also a member of the Craft Council of Ireland and has demonstrated at their sponsored event in the RDS.
